Global Category Manager (m/w/d)

  • Work hand in hand with Sales to maximize go-to-market plans and lifecycle profits of all product categories through deep understanding of end users, use cases, regional and retailer insights
  • Translation of market and customer insights into action plans for marketing, sales and product management
  • Develop plans to enter new product categories and manage the entire lifecycle for products and categories
  • Determine product positioning and pricing in collaboration with Product Management
  • Work closely together with marketing, sales and supply chain to coordinate roadmap and optimize key seasonal moments, promotions and communications
  • Coordinate yearly plan with sales and product managers on item level and contribute to forecast process for launches and end-of-life
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary team for launch: Focus on internal readiness, market introduction and execution, monitor first results
  • Set tools and report on category performance
  • Playing an active and strategic role in the Portfolio Management Team with reporting line to the Director Portfolio Management
  • Work across regions (Americas, Europe, APAC) as a solid interface between Product Management, Sales and Marketing functions as well as with Supply chain

  • University degree in economics (or related subjects) 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in running category management teams with consumer brands, preferably in technology companies in an intercultural working environment
  • Leadership experience desired
  • Proven track record of producing results in new category launches and maximizing profits from existing categories
  • Profound know-how about markets globally as well as proof of adapting plans to meet different markets. Broad knowledge when it comes to competitor positioning and products
  • Deep understanding of consumer needs and shopping behavior from todays’ and also from future perspective
  • Detailed process know how of supply chain management
  • Distinct analytical skills along with the ability to translate complex data into simple coherent actions
  • Competitive spirit, focusing on execution and measurable results
  • Strong collaborator and influencer working successfully across multiple stakeholders and finding effective alignment and commitment
  • Innovative thinker challenging the status quo and willing to create and drive change
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic & international)
