Aufgaben

We at Home Comfort group are the leading HVAC manufacturer, heating, cooling, and climate control are our strategic pillars. Within the business unit Climate & Wellbeing we practice or benefit from the go to source strategy for our products, our selling markets are mainly North America and Europe. We sell products that significantly improve the wellbeing of people at their homes. We sell our product multi-channel, via installers as well directly to the end users via the online platforms. Our sourcing markets are in Europe and China, we buy single components and finished goods with our Home Comfort unique designs. Within our business unit Climate & Wellbeing we are looking for a Senior Purchasing Manager with the following responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the purchasing team with the goal of ensuring successful product sourcing in Europe.
  • Furthermore, you manage a team of five people with the functions (roles) commercial purchasing, project purchasing and purchasing controlling. As the manager, you are guiding the team towards reaching optimal commercial benefit for the business unit.
  • Together with your team, you create the preconditions for strategic and competitive supplier selection and practicing state of the art awarding methods. Also, you are the first contact for our European supply base.
  • You are responsible for maintaining and improving the competitiveness of our products in terms of quality, cost and availability, etc.
  • You are supporting our sales organization with their purchasing of system components.
  • In close collaboration with the project managers, you allocate the team capacity for the projects.
  • You prepare the annual negotiation strategy, with a main focus on our key European suppliers.

Profil
  • Education: degree in Business Administration or comparable engineering knowledge is a preference
  • Experience and Knowledge: several years of relevant professional experience as project or program manager in trading goods; leadership experience is an advantage; international experience is a plus
  • Personality and Working Practice: good communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; coaching ability for the team; structured, analytical, pragmatic and strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Languages: very good in German and English in written and spoken
